GETEC Platform Switzerland

Urs Zimmerli is an experienced manager and CEO of GETEC Platform Switzerland. He has many years of international experience in the chemical and specialty chemical industry. Previously, he was COO of GETEC PARK.SWISS AG and held management positions at CABB AG and EMS Chemie AG. He also gained valuable experience at Archroma Management GmbH, Polygum Technologies LTD and Polygal AG. He holds a PhD in Chemical Engineering from ETH Zurich, an MBA from the Open University and diplomas in Industrial Engineering and Chemical Engineering.

Alexander Makarenko has been CFO of GETEC Platform Switzerland since August 2019. In addition to Finance, he is responsible for the Legal, IT, Purchasing and Business Process Management departments. In 2020-2021, he took on the additional role of interim CFO of the Dutch multi-client site GETEC PARK.EMMEN. Alexander Makarenko started his career at well-known consulting firms b-k-p Consulting and PwC, where he gained valuable experience in sectors including energy. He was subsequently able to put the corporate finance and restructuring expertise he acquired there to the test at Kia Motors Europe and the industrial park operator Mainsite as Head of Finance and Controlling. He completed his business studies at the University of Passau and has a degree in International Business from University College Dublin.
